We first began noticing ECs at shows because they were sometimes in the ring before the Irish Water Spaniels, Grace's first breed from years ago. It seemed like a good downsizing dog, with a lot of unspoiled characteristics that we liked about IWS and other larger sporting dogs. We kept our eyes open for several years, in no rush, and then suddenly found what would become our EC family.

That's the one!
We saw the beautiful Tuscany's Triple Sec (Olivia, later Ch) in the classes at a show in 2003.  She put all of the things we wanted in an EC together: elegance, beautiful expression and wonderful movement. We spoke to her owner, Susan Karsch, and her breeder, Donna O'Connell, at ringside, and were fortunate enough to get the pick bitch from Olivia's first litter, the next year.

Our goals in breeding are good health,

temperament, soundness and aesthetics conforming to the standard.  T had a litter in 2006, and became a champion in 2009.
